It's cozy and small - big enough to accommodate the after-school crowd, yet small enough to feel like you're back in Grandma's kitchen and she's making that carrot cake just for you.Or key lime pie.Or snickerdoodles.Or red velvet cupcakes.Or whatever your grandma made.
Frost Bake Shopis the newest entry in theEast Memphissweet shop scene, which has its share of frozen yogurt, cupcake emporium and local bake shops. What's a bit different about Frost is that all the cakes and sweets are made off-site,in its Bartlett kitchens. That's where the magical desserts that one finds at a large number of restaurants around town are created - and now available all on their own at Frost.
Frost offers a variety of three-layer,9" cakes (whole or by the slice),as well as cheesecakes, eight kinds of cookies, four pies and a variety of cupcakes - both full-sized and mini.Prices start at $2 for a cupcake,$4.50 for a slice of three-layer cake and $4 for pies and cheesecakes.
Seasonal and holiday desserts are also available,as are custom orders (with advance notice),and there's a daily happy hour with 2-for-1 pricing and cake tastings. The happy hour time changes daily, but you can call Frost Bake Shop at901-682-4545and get the scoop.
